My 41st birthday was quite eventful. I got a call from a police officer on Caye Caulker where the Caribbean Colors Art Gallery is, telling me that Jessica (my daughter, who manages the gallery 5 days a week) got into a fight with our employee, that they came to blows, and I needed to get right over there, she was in jail. SO, I jumped on a water taxi, and 1/2 hour later got there, to a SURPRISE birthday party. They tricked me! I was so relieved that Jess wasnt in jail, that I forgave her and everyone involved, for almost giving me a stroke. 2 slices of birthday cake and 8 beers later, I was O.K.

Thanks everybody. I'm finally over my STROKE! Cute picture SS, I still havent figured out how to add pics to my messages. I cant even remember how to do smilies, must be that sometimer's diesease. I'm moving to Caye Caulker full time, so you will all have to get on a boat to see me when you come to SP. Hustler Tours has a day trip on their catamaran that includes snorkeling and a stop for shopping and lunch on Caye Caulker. (no, they didnt pay me to write this) I had to make that tough decision to move there full time because my daughter, who is managing the gallery, has to return to the U.S. at the end of January. BUT..... I'll be coming to SP (civilization) as often as I can... and I'll probably be looking for some place to CRASH! Too bad you're not still here SS, I miss our "girl talks".

Silk... belated Happy B-day. We Sag are wonderers and it doesn't surprise me to hear you are on the move. Maybe next year we can share blowing out a candle since we share the same b-day. However, I'm a little ahead of you...20 yo + 53 yrs of experiences. Anxious to see your work.
I'm new to this message board and in the process of planning my very first trip to AC. Everyone is so generious about sharing their experiences and info. Helps keep us from reinventing the wheel cause goodness knows I don't have time for that.

Silkpainter, Della and I also wish you a happy though belated birthday wish. Glad that you have forgiven daughter Jenn for her devious "trick" to get you to the surprise party! You're right Pilgrim, about us being wanderers. Also, I have the same birthdate and year as John Kennedy Jr. and Amy Grant. They say that Sag's are trouble, I just dont see what they are talking about, lol. Me... trouble?

I'm packing up the apartment in San Pedro now, and getting bins to the water taxi every day, that is a fete in itself. I call Jessica on Caye Caulker and tell her which boat they are on and she gets them from the peir. Gosh, I didnt realize how much "good stuff" I have, all my little treasures.

So, bye everybody, for a little while until I get settled on Caye Caulker.
