Hey, Going to Belize in late July early August. Anybody know anything about Singing Sands? We are looking for peace and quite, away from the world. How is the weather there in late July? Rainy? Singing Sands has no A/C. Is that a problem do you think? Is there somewhere better to stay? Looking for a place with a pool, on the beach, lots of relaxing. Any advice would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks!
Peace and quiet, away from it all with a pool? Singing Sands would be great then. No ac, but they have fansin the room. Nice erstaurant/bar, great large and lonely stretch of beach. Good hosts. Email Matry at ssi@btl.net for more info.
Singing Sands' six cabanas are lined up perpendicular to the beach, so they are not spread out along the beach, which means they may not catch as much breeze from the sea as some other units. But the pool and beach are very nice.
For A/C, you might look at the beach cottages at Luba Hati or Inn at Robert's Grove or possibly the newer apartment units at Rum Point, among others.
I can not address the weather at that time, but we have stayed at Singing Sands and were completely satisfied. Peace and quiet is in abundance with just enough outside activities and guests to keep things interesting.
