How did Eldon & Marti @ SSI Fare? What about Maya beach in general? Robert's Grove? Mangoes?

I have heard that Singing Sands was fairly badly damaged -- cabanas blown around, pool gone. Inn at Robert's Grove apparently got through better than most, due to the concrete construction. Lots of water damage but the hotel will be used to house insurance adjusters from the U.S. Serenity I think is still standing, at least the main building. Kitty's not too bad -- just lost some porches and maybe a roof or two. Haven't heard about Luba Hati, but would think the main building would have stood up pretty well. Haven't heard about Blancaneaux's Turtle Inn, but I doubt the thatch construction would have stood up. Don't know about the other resorts north of Placencia village.

I'm trying to find any word on my brother FRED MUELLER and his fiance DEBBIE STURGIS who live in Placencia. Fred is very tall and wears a big brown hat with a wide brim and the locals call him HAT MAN. I've visited Placencia twice but thats been in 1995 & 96 and the only name I can recall is George who build an Inn on the beach about 3/4 way down the sidewalk. I am desperate to learn of Fred and Debbie's whereabouts and to determine if they are ok. Any referalls to other message boards are welcomed!! I can be reached at AMMINTX@aol.com. turtle Inn is gone, RG, Kittys and Rum Poi nt are all on power and will reopen soon. Singing Sands lost all but two cabanas. Was down this weekend and evweryone is busy with clean up and repairs and getting the place in order as soon as possible.
