Hi Folks, Yes we made it back and had great time on the mainland even if we did almost get "Rained In" on Monday. The pace in Placencia is much different than that on AC, probably a good way for us to end our vacation. Amy just brought in 20 roles of film to develop (God what were we thinking). If we can figure out how to post some of the good ones we'll do it. We will be checking in with you all later. ML

Hi Larry and Amy!! Good to see you back and doing well.... Curious about the comment on Placencia.. Expound on this. I've been curious about that place for some time now. We never seemed to get over there during any of our three trips. Plan to go for a few days when we make it down there again....

I would love to add to my comments about Pacencia, It is much different than AC (a slower pace) but it was a great experience, we had a great time at Barnacle Bills and at all of the establishments visited except Singing Sands. I just checked my E-mail today and recieved a very nasty note from Eldon (one of the managers of Singing Sands) They owe us money (we have a cancelled check to prove it) He told me he would not return the money and would give it to his staff as a tip (which I doubt) even though we tipped them when we were there. Seriously, you need to visit Placencia I know we plan on going back next year with my sister and brother-in-law. As for Eldon, a thief and a liar will have himself as company. ML
