I've found some info on this topic, but am still a little confused.

Can you buy duty-free liqour on your way to Belize, like at the Houston Int'l Airport? or even in the Belize Int'l Airport? Or is that just too much hassle on your way there?

Any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

u buy it on yer way home (at the airport) only. you gotta show them your tix to prove u r leaving. then they bring it out to you as u r boarding. that is how it worked for me, anyway.

In January did not have to show ticket, I assume because you have shown your ticket, to get into the secure area, after passing security. Also they hand your purchase to you at the cash register, due to the same.
You can buy duty free in Houston and take to Belize, if you have enough time between flights.

Last May, I brought home a few bottles of the rum and cane juice in my backpack on the plane and bought it at the local supermarket in town. Nobody even looked, but I am sure things are different now.

In January did not find a change in transporting liquor to or from Belize. We brought home Johnny Walker Blue Label and Dom Champagne for a special celebration. Both expensive, but far less than one would pay in USA.
