Here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the
truth after all those conflicting medical studies.

The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the
British or Americans.

The French eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the
British or Americans.

The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than
the British or Americans.

The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and also suffer fewer heart
attacks than the British or Americans.

The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer
fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what
kills you.

There is only one cure for baldness. It was invented by a Frenchman. It is called the guillotine.

Apparently though, it is "fast food", prepared food (frozen prepared meals) and hydrogenated oils (found in all your potato chips, nacho chips, baked goods, crackers, etc) are what does in the Amerian diet. Yes, they're used abroad and people eat that stuff abroad, but not as much as here. And as they are starting to eat that stuff more (like in Japan, for instance) their rates of heart disease are going up, just like ours. So it's not just the English...teeheheh!

Just so you'll know, Lay's and Ruffles Potato Chips use only liquid oils, not hydrogenated fats. So, they are free of trans fatty acids. Eaten in moderation with consideration for the rest of the daily diet, they do not present a hazard!

Yes, and ketchup is a vegetable, and potato chips represent a major food group. Seriously folks, (and I know i'm getting WAY off topic here)all one needs to do is look around at any mall or any public place to see that Americans could stand to lose a few pounds or two. Scary stuff....the incidence of obesity and early onset diabetes is climbing in children. Ever wonder why our health insurance rates are going upupup?

Ever wonder why our health insurance rates are going upupup?

Could it be CORPORATE GREED?
Like in HMO's, drug and medical equipment manufacturers, salaries negotiated by unions threatening strikes while we have an unemployement problem??????

How about researchers who every few years tell us that what they told us a few years ago was totally wrong and now this is how you should eat?

Oh, yeah, this board was about being funny. sorry -- I got confused.

And don't you dare criticise my IN-N-OUT Burger place! I can smell the oil two off ramps away.
