KJ, I would recommend Robert's Grove too. It is fully equipt with dive centre as well.
There is always the Blue Marlin Lodge too on South Water Caye just off the coast of Dangriga.

Hi, trina I would suggest the Orange Walk area. There is a lot to offer there. In particular there is the Lamanai Outpost lodge that offers exactly what you're looking for. You can contact me if you need more info at djones@btl.net

Thank you again everyone for your help. WE will try Placencia then head back to Amebergris where we stayed this year. This board is a wealth of knowledge for us.
