Just spent the afternoon working in the yard. I feel lucky being able to stick a shovel into the ground this time of year.I love the smell of fresh turned compost. The earth steaming on a cool frosty day. Are all you pepole in the warm Belizean sun jealous of your friends to the north?

Skullyboy,

I am with ya on that one...ya got to love the cold weather too! The contrast is amazing, when you have been freezing your butt off for a few months and then you make a trip to AC and take a dip in the warm water!!

When I walked outside a few minutes ago I could smell snow! Some folks laugh when I tell them I can smell it, but it is a very clean crisp smell just before the snow starts in. If you want to take a look on the mountain passes there are road cams in many states where you can actually look at a map and see how far away the nearest snow is... Makes me want to BELIZE IT!!
Mexicana wink

I'm still in Hou(Woodlands) going back the end of Jan, when it's through raining there. I get all the rain I need right here !

I'm with you skullyboy. One of my favorite smells is rich, wet dirt! Oh Yeah!!! Then again, on AC they have year round gardening with big, beautiful flowers all the time. Be sure on your trip to check out the gardens up North. They are amazing!
