Not being a regular rum drinker, but planning to partake in Belize, I need some good rum drinks we can both make in the hotel and order in the bars. Who has some good and simple concoctions to share? Only 14 days til we Belizeit!
One simple one is " PANTI RIPPER" it is made from pineapple juice and coconut rum and lots of ice.
These ingredients can be bought in any grocery shop.
Have fun!!!!
Where will you be staying?

Hi, trina I would suggest the Orange Walk area. There is a lot to offer there. In particular there is the Lamanai Outpost lodge that offers exactly what you're looking for. You can contact me if you need more info at djones@btl.net
A basic (and delicious) rum drink is just rum and tonic water, plus a squeeze of lime. Fanta tonic water, either with or without bitters, is widely available in Belize.
D-jon: Do you mean coconut juice of some kind and regular rum, or is there coconut rum, similar to lime vodka (yuk)? Our fam wil be at Coral Bay Villas for a week, then on to Caye Caulker for another week. Rumadumdum! Looking forward to bonefishining and seeing some Mayan ruins! Pica pica be gone!
Try Coconut Rum & cranberry juice. That's some pretty good stuff, too. We had it somewhere in San Pedro, can't remember where. Mighta been Crazy Canuks? I think I liked it better than Panty Rippers - not so sweet (sorry for the blasphemy!).
Why Susangg............ would you, a member of the bar, be suggesting we Yanks violate our sacred laws and actually spend money in Cuba??????????????????? OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Bones, there is a coconut rum here in Belize it's not coconut juice.
to see Maya Ruins you'll need to be in the Cayo area or even visit Tikal.
I just had some guests who travelled there by road ans they said it was pretty safe.
