My fiancee and I are getting married at Victoria House this summer. We are spending about a week on Ambergris Caye before the ceremony then heading out for the Honeymoon portion of our stay. We are having a real hard time deciding where to go. Should we go to the Cayo (Blancaneaux or Du Plooy's) or Placencia (Turtle Inn) or somewhere else? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (the Honeymoon will be about 6 nights)

In the deluxe category, I think any of the following would be great honeymoon places:

Blancaneaux Lodge, Mountain Pine Ridge -- especially the villas

Lodge at Chaa Creek, Cayo -- the honeymoon suites

Hamanasi, Hopkins -- especially the beachfront suites or tree houses

Inn at Robert's Grove, Placencia -- especially the deluxe suites

Turtle Inn, Placencia -- probably, though I haven't been here since it reopened in December

Check out Ek'Tun in Cayo. My Wife and I stayed there in December on our honeymoon for 5 days. Unbeliveably beautiful. Phyllis is a great host and incredible cook. Its really nice and quiet. There are only two cabanas on the property (when we went we were the only guests there). The grounds are breathtaking and the pool is out of this world. It is a bit pricey but I thought it was worth every penny. The website is at ektunbelize.com
