seems like time marches on...and the MACAW valley will soon be gon ...forever....
YES it can still be stopped ....and should be stopped ....i was in the ballerina valley .[one of the macaw valley sections...and it was beautifull.... the pics might be up at..stopfortis.com by now
we shouldnt let this go through.......save these valleys ... stop the damn projects....hydro elec. generation is archaic.........a step bak in time ...just aint right....

Isn't the Nature Conservancy involved? I thought they were. I'm willing to help. Tie myself to a tree?

Moose, I actually signed the petition months ago, and have followed the story closely. Interestingly enough, the Belize Audobon Society SUPPORTS the dam? frown

Fortis is a Canadian company. I dont' know anything about China, although I seem to remember the governemnt of Taiwan helped finance a recent road project. Was it the Southern Highway completion? confused
