Ok guys, I KNOW that this has absolutely nothing to do with Belize, but I'm a great one to rationalize just about anything so here goes.

(climbs up on soapbox)

I dare say that everyone reading this board is fortunate to be living in a country where things mentioned in this link just don't happen. As a new mother, and new grandmother, I can't even begin to imagine the horror. frown mad frown

If you have a few minutes, please check it out.

There is a link at the bottom of that page to click on to send an email to your senators.

I think the U.S.A. is involved in way too many other countries business. This country is on a long slippery slope, with little hope of ever getting it's footing back. Isolation is the answer.

This is an apology to the board, what I should have said was "if you feel moved to so, there is a link at the bottom of that page ..."

Can't even find an appropriate lil Instant Graemlin face

AWTY...you are allowed to say what you want, within reason.
This is the chat thread.
You need not apologize for your efforts to share.

Checked the link, agree that the situation sucks. I would use the term intolerable, but that would indicate that we could do something tangible about it. Let's face it, we have too many tin-pot dictators in the world with people challenging each other for control. The US will step in with humanitarian aid, but will stay out of the fray directly unless we have a vested interest. This region has a history of such behaviour.
We in the US have a lot of gripes that we think are very important. Are they more important than worrying about your childrens safety and enough to eat on an hourly basis? Love it or not, God bless the USA.

Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt
