Has anyone stayed or have any news about Hamanasi? Their tree houses looks very interesting. We are possibly looking to go there in mid September. Any comments would be appreciated and be very helpful in making a final decision.

Thanks

Have you tried the forum on this site?
They speak of Hamansi.

http://www.belizenet.com/

We stay nearby Hamansi when we go to Belize and I don't dive so I can't give accurate information, but on a stroll past their resort, it looks nice.

There are several resorts along that strip of beach, one can stay anywhere and still do a dive with Hamansi, just walk up.

We love that area.
It's like our second home.

NY, we are not going to be diving while we are there. I recently read something that they were closed for rennovations the week we are planning on going there. I am trying to confirm.. If you do not mind, where do you stay when you go to the Hopkins area?

Beaches and Dreams Seafront Inn and Pub

Send Sharon and e-mail. [email protected]

It's about 400 yards south of Hamansi.

Nice cabanas, big ! Wonderful food and close to Hopkins, lots of tours offered. We have never disliked anything about our stays there and have gone 5 times.

They will take you most any place you want to go. We have created our own tours. laugh

Hello Bonjoe
We've stayed at both B&D & Hamanasi.
We love them both.
Hamanasi with larger manicured grounds, more choices of rooms & suites with AC, & a large dining area. Definitely a more formal resort setting. The owners & staff are very friendly and accommodating. With two new big fast boats for snorkeling & diving.
On the other hand B&D with four rooms right on the beach with louvered windows & ceiling fans you have more of a feeling of being in Belize, specially when the sun comes up and you hear the variety of wildlife waking up with you (it really sounds like your waking up in the middle of a jungle) As for the food nothing like it in the area. Sharon and staff give you real personalized service.
It all depends on what you are looking for you'll have a great time at either place.
Chris
