WOW..I surely posted a lie to you on 12/12/04 here.
IT DID SNOW! What a magical Christmas Eve and Day in deep South Texas. IT SNOWED, the very first white Christmas. It did snow Feb 1895, that's right 1895, but nothing that covered the ground since, till this Christmas Eve.
Oh yeah the power went off at 5am 12/24 did not come on again till 3am 12/25, and it was 28 degrees. 35 candles 7 flashlights 5 afghans 20 blankets 5 caps 40 socks and Joe's battery BOOMbox with Elvis tapes, made our Christmas bright. It really was a warm family time, and no sorrow.
We had cancelled out trip to Belize for Christmas, now we are happy we did, or we would have missed our special gift of SNOW here.
We know who sent us and the whole valley a special GIFT this year.
Several neighbors also said, the power off and snow made for their Best Christmas ever, too. Everyone had to stay in the same room to stay warm and to have light as a united family.
We made snow angels and a snowman. Lots of snowball fights.......many pictures.
Snow is all gone now, and it feels like we only had the Snow in our dreams.......but it really did happen.
