How are preparations going for lobsterfest next month? Any plans if it rains again this year? Can't wait to visit again.

I too will be at the Lobsterfest in Placencia on 6-28 and 6-29, and then on to San Pedro for a week.

We're going to be in Placencia for Lobsterfest from 27-29June then on to CC and AC from there. Maybe we'll run into you guys there too.

Sounds like ML & Amy, Scott & , Hipanda, Sandy & Gail will all be in Placencia at the same time. Gela are you planning on being there also? Lets get together for a drink in Placencia then. Would be a mini Caribe Island group from last year plus some new friends.

Not sure what time I will make it into Placencia on Saturday. I'm taking busses from Cancun to Belize, then a Tropic flight. If the bus schedules posted on the internet are as they appear to be, I should make it in the early afternoon. I am staying at the Blue Lagoon.

I will be fishing until 4:00 pm on Sat but what say we meet at the big dock (Placencia fishing Co-op - ask anyone) plus very near to the L.F. action. at 7:30 pm? My Belize cell # is 612 2394.

PS on Friday night, the Griga Boyz from Dangriga are playing and on Sat night its Santino's Messengers from Belize City; not sure who is slated for Sunday afternoon. Should be a great time!

Was away for a few days and I guess ML is on his way but here is a bit of info:

* Lobsterfest is a celebration of the start of the lobster season which begins on June 15 and ends February 15 (this is when lobster can be caught, sold, and consumed)
* Fishing tourney is just a part of the fest. There is culture, dancing, arts and crafts, and food (lobster everything but also other Belizean foods).
AND the most asked question -
What is the Rum Punch Contest? Who drinks the most or who makes the best? - , much to my dismay - it's the latter.
