Hope ya'll have a Great Thanksgiving!

GREETINGS OF THE SEASON!

'TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING, BUT I COULDN'T SLEEP.

I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS, I TRIED COUNTING SHEEP.
THE LEFTOVERS BECKONED - THE DARK MEAT AND WHITE
BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT.

TOSSING AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION
THE THOUGHT OF A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION
SO I RACED TO THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR
AND GAZED AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES GALORE.

I GOBBLED UP TURKEY AND BUTTERED POTATOES,
PICKLES AND CARROTS, BEANS AND TOMATOES
I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND,
'TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND.
I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE.
BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES....
HAPPY EATING TO ALL -- PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE.
MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY, MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP, MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP, MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS And YOUR PIES TAKE A PRIZE, MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

No matter which country we're in today, we all have at least one thing in our lives to be thankful for. I've been blessed with many things to be thankful for.... for one thing, the fact that I am here typing this message is one.

Despite my humor/humorless attacks on ex-wives, mothers-in-laws, etc. I am thankful for my ex-wives, because they gave given me 5 great kids, and through them, 8 grandchildren.

And I am also thankful for friends like y'all on this board, for many reasons, and to Marty and his bunch for putting up with all of us. I try and remember that everyday we come into Marty's living room, so to speak, and visit.

So lighten up a bit today and be thankful what you have in your life and not bitter what you do not have... there are many, many people in this world that do not have what you have, and they would be happy to have just one small slice of your life.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. laugh wink

Mobunny...was glad to see your recipe. It is the same one we used back in the olden days to grill ribeyes. The only difference, we used Jack Daniels. hehehehehehehe
