I'm looking to rent a golfcart while in san pedro, does anyone have an idea how much it would cost to rent for a month or is there a website with that information? smile

Before you go spending $1000 for a months rental, you might want to consider that there is one for sale for $1500 on this board. Not that you would want to buy one, but it gives you an idea of what they are worth. $1000 a month for a $1500 cart seems a bit steep to me...but what do I know.

By the way, does anybody want to rent my car...say for $12,000 a month? Let me know... smile

$1k a month for a golfcart does sound ridiculous unless it was a GOLDCART. Hmmm, I'll have to bargain Cholo, I do need the extra $$ for the drinks (got my priority). Thanks John. wink

I wouldn't knock the rental companies too much, a $1500 cart would last about a month as a rental before it fell apart from the abuse. Also $1500 carts don't come for sale that often. Most carts that are bought for rental purposes are in the $7,500US to $10,000US range, they don't last long hence the high rental price. If we had paved roads they'd last longer and the rates would go down (in a perfect world).

The last time we rented for an entire stay we went to Cholo's garage , behind the firestation , and successfully negotiated with him for a 10 day rental.
We came in under $400us. Last May the fee was $51us at the bar.
Happy motoring!

Could you get something decent in a golf cart for about $3000 SimonB?
