Anyone know of drum makers in Dangriga? I have the name of Austin Rodriguez but find little info on the web about him. I looking to bring back a nice drum on my next trip.

Austin is the man. You can try to track him down and pin him down to making a drum for you. It might be eiaser to email one of the gift shops that sell drums and ask them to get the size you want. I'm sure plenty of shops on San pedro can do this, if not, contact papagayo@btl.net and ask them. They have drums in stock.

I'm not Katie but I know where it is. It's the gift shop at the Biltmore Plaza Hotel on the Northern Highway in BC.

Happy New Year to you and Loie. I have bought drums from Mr. Rodriquez in Dangriga but there are several gift shops in Belize that carry them. Depending on the size and type it would be best to custom order one though.
My sister Karen is co-owner of Papagayo so I can get her to set you up if you like or you can contact her directly. They also have Papagayo Two in the Tourism Village.
