We are thinking about staying our last couple of nights at another place other than AC. Any suggestions?

Tobacco Caye Lodge...I have not yet stayed here, but hope to on my next trip. If you like quiet and laid back. Right on the reef. Snorkle from the beach. Sounds like heaven to me. Enjoy, GP

I recommend Tobacco Caye too very laid back.

Is it better to puddle-jump or water taxi to CC?

Depending on where you stay, generally speaking, the water taxi peir is central to the village. If you're staying near the south point at Shirley's Guesthouse, Anchorage, Lorraine's or Lazy Iguana Bed & Breakfast, then the airstrip is closer. The water taxi ride from San Pedro takes about 1/2 hour

Silkpainter, do you think we will need to make reservations BEFORE we get to CC (Feb 15-16)? Where do you suggest?

Definitely make reservations for Feb thru Easter. Its one of the busiest times of the year.

Tobacco Caye is a bit far to go for just one night IMHO.

How far is Tabacco Caye from everywhere else? Would it make sense to stay 2 nights, then head to the airport from there?

Tobacco caye is off the Southern shore of the mainland. AC & CC are far North. You could do 2 nts on TC and then fly from Dangriga directly to the int'l airport.

BarbaraK, we are spending our first night on AC, have 4 more nights not booked yet...we would like to visit another caye and do a river/jungle/cave/ruin kinda trip. Any suggestions? Thanks.
