...at http://www.google.ca/ is in honour of the Apollo landings. Clicking it takes you to Google Maps and shows where on the moon the landings were.

How are you HON? Hot up there? I am LOVING this heat (I am an hour down the coast of the lake (Huron) from HON, FYI folks).

Is this like Belize weather?

Hey Patti,

It is hotter 'n hades up here and 110% humidity to boot. I'm melting eek

Since we were in Belize in January, I find this weather a lot more uncomfortable than it was then. Temps were only in the high 20's and went down to a lovely 17 or so at night...great for sleeping.

I don't think I would survive Belize in the summer - one of several reasons that we aren't considering Belize for retirement.

Hon,
I'm used to being in South GA, with high humidity, but August and September in BZ is way more brutal.
I'm jealous about your Niagara trip. (I was a tour guide there.) Was it crowded? I hear tourism is down a bit from past years.... maybe it's the fuel cost....
I am wondering how the new passport laws will affect things up there.
Cheerz!

Since both my husband and I have tons of family in Niagara Falls, it was just another weekend hanging out with them...nothing to be jealous of cool

We only go down by the Falls or Casino early in the morning specifically to avoid the crowds. Last Saturday morning at 8:30am it was almost impossible to find a parking spot by the new Casino. I'd say it is pretty busy...with gamblers anyway.

The passport laws (have they gone into effect yet?) will probably mostly affect local people who only make day trips across the border to go shopping etc. My sister in law, for example, hasn't been to the US since February because it is such a pain getting over without a passport.

I understand they are to go into effect 1 Jan.... I know the cruises are really complaining (as their guests are presently not required to have passports for the Caribbean and Central America).
Yeah, my sister lives in Bflo, and says the same thing about going to the cottage at Crystal Beach.
I was concerned that many US travellers wouldn't have passports and would miss going over to the Canuck side (and we ALL know which side is better!).
Cheerz!
