Me thinks everyone better enjoy their favorite places in Belize, especially AC and the other cayes because development is starting and coming with a vengence and there will be no turning anything back. Belize does not have the means or the tenacity to stop it. " Money talks and the old bullshit walks ". Let me guess where most of the develpoment and palm greasing money is coming from!!! Right where most of the people on this board come from.
Isn't it funny how when people try to raise money to build a shelter for dogs, or worse yet, people bring pencils from home for school kids, it's hard to make it happen. But open an area for development on the ocean and the money flood gates open!!!!

Where will the "1000 visitors per day' come from? How will they get there? Who is the promoter?

Yeah, if one were to take the time and go back and reconstruct all the "blue sky" plans that have been announced in Belize, many with government officials and press releases and all that, you would have a big, big stack of them.
Golf courses, casinos, timeshares, 500-room luxury hotels, airstrips, retirement communities, medical centers. It's amazing how these things get floated, and then nothing is ever heard from them or about them again.
Guess it's the Belize factor.

This one in Toledo seems serious and is for cruise ship passengers.
