I am sure these questions have been asked before. I have searched but nothing recent shown for the past 2 years. Here we go....

What is the import fee for a television?

Are there any small storage units for rent in SP? If so what is the cost for a small unit per month, enough to hold a couple boxes of household goods?

What are the import fees for a computer? How about a expensive computer monitor?

Will a $8500 cover a small skiff and golf cart purchase?

responses appreciated in advance

My understanding is that there's no duty on computer gear but you will have to pay 9% sales tax. There is a storage place, check www.cayestorage.com.

A new refurbished gas golf cart will run you $6500-$8500US depending on how you option it.

A skiff with a decent (may work for a while) motor can be had for $5000US but for something reliable you're probably looking at $7500-$8500US

If you can get the TV in your pants you might be able to sneak it in without duty.

Depends on who you ask, and whose on duty.

If I already own a very nice golf cart here in the States, it sounds like I would be better off shipping it down & paying duty. Your thoughts?
