Diane, thank you, glass bottom boat someone else here suggested and I did not even know about it before. GREAT IDEA. what is the trip to robles? Is the BBQ included? I would appreciate details on this trip.

SASSIK- I appreciate that as the amount of walking we do should not be long distances. I wonder which ruins have the shortest amounts of walking. I think Xunitunich was much shorter walking than Altun Ha. I would like to try a new one, Caracol or Lamanai or another, any suggestions.

Ke, I can only speak about the Lamanai trip which we took three seperate times. I found the walking not to be that bad and of course your parents can choose whether or not to climb the ruins eek ( one trip our son was age 4, no problem) I found the tour to be interesting and the Belizean lunch provided was great. Definately worth it IMO. You must be so excited to show your parents around. Have a wonderful time! Rhonda smile

For Lamanai you might want to consider the trip offered by TropicAir. Flying saves a lot of time and cuts down the wear and tear on your mom & dad. cool

Mercedes at Reef Seekers has a glass bottom boat and is very flexible in where he takes you. My kids and I just wanted a short trip for snorkeling and even some fishing and he happily accommodated us. 226-2539 or 610-3061. [email protected]

I think all the ruins require som serious walking. Cahal Pech is probably the shortest overall and you could combine it with a trip to San Ignacio town for the markets, crafts, etc. Lots of art in the area if you or they are interested in that. Email me if you need more ideas or guide help.
