Can you bring such items along or are they confiscated prior to leaving? Something about Barb and I sitting on the beach in Placencia and shooting at the stars just sounds so right!!!

How exactly were you planning to get them into the country? You'd never get them on the plane and would probably spend some time in a nice little office if you did.

Graffice,
I'm not sure that Belize allows fireworks at all. I can't remember ever seeing anyone light them off. I love the things myself, so I would have noticed.
Once, I "spent some time in a nice little office" for bringing "explosives" into Canada. I had travelled through Wyoming on my way up to Expo '86 and grabbed some fireworks there. Busted at the border, Sarah and I were subjected to a couple of hours of intense questioning. I had no idea that Canada didn't allow fireworks. Please don't let a similar situation happen to you.

I saw plenty of them, as well as plain ole firecrackers last March/April. Apparently "someone" knows how to pack his/her suitcase.

And aren't they they illegal in OHIO too Duane?? wink

Those would have come from Mexico not the US and I believe they are illegal here as well but enforcement seems to be minimal.

KLC you know darn well that they can be purchased in Ohio............I think I have occasionally put on the form Placencia Village as my destination. Think I'll get a call someday??? DG
