The trouble with Bubble is that he only has two strings to his guitar. If you're an American, it's all your fault. (Whatever it is.) And, you can't do anything that takes money away from Belizeans. (Fine in theory, but in practical terms, life has many shades of gray.) He's often funny but just as often he's a know-it-all.

**Be courteous. As we read and respond to others, disagreements are
inevitable. Differing points of view are welcomed, and indeed the bbs would
be a dull place without them. All users are expected and required to express
their disagreements civilly. Refrain from name calling and behaviour
lectures. Personal attacks will not be tolerated and repeated offences could
get you banned from the bbs. It is suggested you read through your message
before you post it, and if you are disagreeing with somebody, see how it
reads. You may wish to soften your disagreement by beginning with "This is
JMHO (this is just my humble opinion)," but this is optional.

Personally, the way I look at this board is not only for the discussion of Belize, it is also where we can come and chat pretty much about anything on our minds.

Having said that... do not confuse an invitation by Marty to participate as a God-given right to post whatever we feel like either.

Marty, as the sole owner, has obviously given Jesse, the authority to delete whatever postings he (Jesse) feels is in the best interest for the board... which again is Marty's board, and not yours or mine. We have nothing to say nor the right to complain about anything that is here or not here. It's not our decision... don't like it, then that is your perogative and your perogative to also go elsewhere... or start your own board... where you are the owner and boss and not a guest.

I was just visiting again in the cro magnon area.
http://www.arachnis.asso.fr/DORDOGNE/HISTOIRE/PREHISTO/prehist1.htm

I could see they were not the savages that have always been dipicted. they had nice caves with southern exposure and huge river (fish) at their feet and endless wood to burn.

I am even reminded a bit of the Hopi indian .

That area is 180 miles from me , while europe's oldest man is less then a hundred.

Cat/Bubble/John, I'll take the risk.

While I don't always agree with your point of view I do like the bright banter you bring to the other forum even if your phrasing sometimes leaves me wanting for translation. This could be a new beginning if you want it to be.

From the way it is looking ,the voter turnout is too bleak and thusly , we will likely have to revote at another time. I shall not do like my idol , jimmy, and concede. I shall wait and do it again...

So thank you for all the risk takers who look for a little more in life.
And thank you for the people that voted go away .
I know it means you do not like me for various reasons. I shall live with trying to change your mind about it. Until next vote , thanks again. John

From what John said, I don't get that he's going away. Only that he'll try to change our minds and have another vote later. If my interpretation is correct, I've just got to wonder why he bothered to call a vote in the first place.

When they try to tell you knowledge is a dangerous thing
It's such a dangerous thing
The people that have it are the people that sin
And the people that need it are the people that can never win
They can never win
Let me get you out of here little broken wing

There are people round here that are right
There are people round here that like to sleep at night
There are people round here that go slow
There are people round here that don't kindly to the killing of the buffalo

When they tear up all the treaties and break up all the plans
They break up all the plans
Did you do your duty and kill on command?
Did you know the redman used to roam this land?
He used to roam this land
Now the souls of lost warriors blow across the sands

People round here they get it right
People round here we like to sleep at night
There are people round here that go slow
People round here that don't take kindly to the killing of the buffalo, oh no

So listen to my story and listen to it well
You better listen well
Listen to the glory of the gory details of the tale I tell
Did you know the redman very well?
I used to know him well
Did you know the hunting ground before it became a hell?

There are people round here that are right
There are people round here that like to sleep at night
There are people round here I don't know
There are people round here that don't take kindly to the killing of the buffalo

The killing of the buffala-o
The killing of the buffala-o

The killing
The killing of the
The killing of the buffala-o
The killing of the buffala-o
The killing of the buffala-o
The killing of the buffala-o
The killing of the buffala-o
The killing
The killing

So listen to my story of genocide
How they were hunted and slaughtered till there was no place left to hide
Did you know the redman used to hold his head with pride?
Till every man, woman and child were destroyed

There are people round here that get it right
There are people round here that couldn't sleep at night
There are people round here I don't know
There are people round here that don't take kindly to the killing of the buffalo

There are people round here that understand
There are people round here that couldn't give a damn
There are people round here that go slow
There are people round here that don't take too kindly to the killing of the buffalo

The killing of the buffala-o... ad inf
