Does anyone on the board have any experience setting up a webcam to broadcast images through their website? I'm thinking about setting up a webcam facing the beach just north of Wet Willy's with a 30 minute refresh during daylight hours. If you know what's involved please PM me or e-mail me at orders@lagniappe-belize.com.
Simon, I have a webcam and use it continually. There are website that can show you how to do what you want and it's really easy... unfortunately I've never read that part.
Do a simple search on webcam and you should come up with a place that does hosting.
In the interest of protecting you from potential stalkers (current and future), I respectfully decline to comment on your physical characteristics. Those intent on learning more need only scour this board for photos - they do exist.
With regards to visits - several.
(Denny meant, I think, he uses a webcam, not that he has a "live" one)

That is the website that I use for my camera and it is free.
If you want to see my camera in action. Go to my website Not So Normal News
Look down the left side column and you should see the camera. Click on the picture and you should be taken to a larger picture. This is my KillerCam. It is trained on my fish tank where I have one Betta swimming around.
I bought the Betta on a Reduced for Quick Sale shelf... one thing led to another... you can also read the entire mess on my blog/website starting a few days ago.
Oh Simon, I think this is a GREAT idea. I can't wait until it is set up. Then I can get my fix everday until I can make it back to AC, which unfortunately will not be until October/November 2007.
