Hello! My new husband and I just got back from a great trip to Ambergris! I haven't posted much, but I used info on this board to plan our trip. We got married last Saturday at the Victoria House and it couldn't have been better. We had 34 guest join us for a long weekend of fun.
Some highlights -
Thanks to Poncho for a great fishing trip. Take three bridemaids and a bride who know nothing about fishing, and add a great guide = 46 fish caught!!!! Yes, that's right - 4 girls fished, and caught that many!!! Although it rained, it was a blast. We caught barracuda, snapper, horse-eyed jacks...you name it! Thanks to my dad for arranging the trip - none of us knew what to expect. We had the best time! We also enjoyed a great lunch over at Caye Caulker mid-day.
All of our guests enjoyed the snorkeling trip to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley we arranged through SEArious. We had great guides and had a fun time. Most of us had been snorkeling before in other countries, and all agreed this was at the top of the list!
We enjoyed meals at Mambos, Blue Water Grille, and Jambal Jerk Pit. The food was great at each of these places. The service was also spectacular at Mambos!
The Victoria House was amazing. The food, the service, you name it. We especially enjoyed all of the bartenders (keep in mind, this was a party group!). Despite rain for three days straight, the VH had a plan for everything related to the wedding. The handeled ALL details - I didn't have to worry about anything. Luckily, the sun came out just before the ceremony, and we were able to have our dream wedding on the beach. Thanks to Javier, Janet, Oscar, Ana, Kay Scott, Miquel, Carlos, etc., for the most memorable day ever.

We are already planning our 1st year anniversary - a trip to Ambergris!!!
