OK, this is waaaaaay off the beaten jungle path, but I'm hoping you world travelers can help.

I'm interesting in buying my parents an Alaskan cruise as a 50th wedding anniversary present. They've always wanted to do one but probably won't unless I set it up.

Anyone have any experiences/references they can share with me--maybe on a smaller ship?

TIA for any help and tolerance for the seriously off-topic request.

I used to work for Clipper Cruise Line, which offers "small ship experience" cruises (250 passengers)in the Inside Passage in Alaska. They go into a lot of the places that the bigger ships can't.

I sent my parents on Silversea for their 30th last year. They loved it and preferred the smaller size.
