This is a travel log of our trip which included Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, Hopkins, South Water Caye, Maya Beach, Placencia and San Ignacio. I hope you find it useful and maybe even enjoyable. http://exploringbelize.blogspot.com/
Thank you very much Captain Jeff. I have always thought that you are a great cheerleader (minus the skirt and pom poms of course) for Ambergris Caye and very much appreciate your compliment. I'll be back there in December to 'live the dream' again.
how cool silkpainter...I think I went into your art gallery...I hope it was yours (no offence intended if I got it wrong)...it was the nicest art gallery I saw during our trip and I was very jealous that someone had made such a wonderful space to work in...the lady who was there said she was not the owner...but she was very sweet and gave off an incredibly relaxed vibe...loved the gallery..caye caulker was not really for me though...if you saw me, you wouldn't forget me...I am unusually heavily inked for a woman.
Just for the record... the woman in the 5th picture down, right side of plane is not me! I even had to look twice! I've gotten several e-mails from friends wondering why I didn't tell them about my trip. Great pictures collyk! Thanks
You met Barbara, yes she is very cool, relaxed and sweet. I did see you then, I came in to bring something in, and was wearing old painting clothes. I'm painting for a show at the House of Culture in Belize City that's scheduled for July.
Well maybe I'll see you next time I am over as I would go back to Caye Caulker just to look at your wonderful shop again. Not only was it the nicest shop of it's kind that we visited in Belize, it is one of the nicest shops of it's kind I have visited anywhere. You have created a really lovely space - it smells nice, the art is beautifully displayed and it has a really peaceful atmosphere. I wasn't a fan of the island itself but your shop made our visit there worthwhile.
