Just opened a Belican, one that has been in my fridge now for over a year. (obviously I do not live in Belize).

The color was a golden amber, the smell as I remember and the same sparkle of golden bubles rising to the surface. Aaarh....

The after taste though.... was terrible. Nasty almost. Is this beer as good as I remember or were my good times over riding my normally accurate taste buds? Or was I sobber long enough to experience a beer in the cold light of day?

So chatters - Just how good is this iconic beer?? Is the beer crap because it doesn't have to be good?? Or has my 'traveller' been sabotaged in some way??

Unfortunately, it was my last so a strategic analysis could not be entered into.

I want to know....

It is beer dude, not a cabernet. The shelf life on beer is like, today. It is truly a good beer, great if it is cold, good thing cause that is all you can get. You need to get down to AC and live the dream.

wait, you lost me at, "been in my fridge now for over a year." Just how long does beer last? That may have been the problem!

Never heard of a Belican, if ya can't spell it right, you're not drinking enough of it.
Fresh is better, just ask Budwieser who dates thier beer.
Can't wait for my next one, soon but not soon enough!!! Man I hope I spelled that right.
