I've gotten myself into a real pickle here.

I have accepted an invitation to go to a party Saturday night. When I accepted I forgot that I had previously agreed to join some friends for an entire weekend get-a-way.

See my conundrum? Did I spell that correctly?

I have put down on paper my criteria:

Female to male ratios for each party. Am I going about this the wrong way?

What are YOUR plans for this weekend? eek

I'm taking care of a couple "pre-teens" for a family that has not been out in two years. I am paying their way and watching the children.

I am nutz and loving at the same time.

Does that make me Sybil confused or do I still need more personalities smile

Which venue has more pickle potential, or was that a Freudian slip?

Gay... thank you for the questionaire on my dating practices... I've tried to answer your questions as honestly as I could:

1. Do I have a date? Why no I don't. I thought I could turn on the charm at either event and shag, err snag a date.

2. Do I need a date? Let me ask just how much will this date cost me? and is it by the hour or minute?

3. Tequila and bingo eh? I know the old ladies at church like a little bouron and water during bingo. Is this the same?

4. Hot tubs? I love hot tubs. I am banned from a lot of them because hot tub and clothing do not mix well. Threads clogg up the draining system. And God only knows how much I hate to clogg things up.

Any other questions? eek

Thank You sun&sand. He should be coming out right now. The vet has GOT to hate me by now...I brought his special food (we make our own dog food) up there so he won't have to eat odd food tomorrow morning. She said "Do you want to pay extra for pain medication?" Duuuuuuuuuh YES!!!!!!!! Who would say no? It was $20 bucks. I am freaking out. Can't get anything done. I have to start excercising him tomorrow when he comes home. No rest for the weary huh?

Having recently had knee surgery, I will be the first to empathize with him. I also am always amazed at the "pain medication" questions. No way would I have undergone the surgery without pain meds, and would never allow my babies to do it, either. Give him a good ol' wet kiss on the nose for me....
Very interested in how you make your own dog food. Can you share the secret?
Hubby is taking two of our babies to the vet right now, one for nail clipping, and the other seems to have developed allergies to pollen...coughs a lot, but lungs are clear. I hate to go to the vet's...last time I went they had to put my smallest baby down, and I get so upset everytime I go now....the vet is such a dear, he said he'd come out to the car and treat my kids, but I feel like such a wimp...so hubby does it for me....what a sweetie.

They are like our children aren't they? I give 2 of mine .25m of benedryl a day for inhaled allergies (leaf mold, yes I live in S TX) it is a battle. The dog food starts with 55 pounds of beef, 15 pounds of organ meat, we cut it all up and cook it outside in a very large pot on the crawfish cooker. The we add all kinds of stuff (we have a recipe) like flax seed, garlic, apples, carrots, 2 heads of spinach, cabbage or other lettuce, green beans or broccolli or some very rare times peas, and on and on. It takes about 8 hours to process, cook, cool, and bag and it lasts about 1 month for the 3 of them. It has cut down on the poop in the yard by 3/4 for sure and they have less visits to the vet. Well worth it.

Sounds like all you need is a jacuzzi and some tequila, and the party's at your place.

WOW...sounds good. Your dogs are as spoiled as mine...lol....I do make their food when they aren't feeling well, but we have four, and I'm sure they would need at least a cow a month. Do you put it in the freezer to keep it? I might try it in a small amount to see if they'll eat it, and if they do, I'll go for the big batch. Thanks for the hint....although mine go poop in the woods....so we don'thave to clean up after them, it would still be a good thing to do, it sounds so much healthier than the stuff sold commercially.
And, yes, dog....I DO need a jacuzzi...outside, tho. I have one inside, but miss the stars at night. Guess the party will be at your house....I'll bring the tequila

Jeez, you guys talk too loud... wink Now that's the second time I've seen reference to "Babes in Toyland". Is that a movie? I don't watch tv/movies so if it just came out, I wouldn't know.

I'm related to law, however, not to cup holders. confused

Sand&Sea, yes we divvy it up into Quart size freezer bags, 2 1/4 C per baggie and we stack it in the deep freeze. 1 bag per dog per day. You might not think 2 1/4 C is enough for golden ret's but it is. My female is real dainty, only 55 pounds, the new guy is only 40 lbs and my big golden is only 65. AND it contains actual nutritional ingredients instead of a bunch of corn or wheat or (take your pick) filler. It's all good.

Denny calls into work and says, "Hey, I can't come to work today,
I am really sick. I have a headache, a stomach ache and my legs hurt, I can't come to work."
The boss says, "You know something, denny, I really need you today.
When
I feel like this, I go to my wife and tell her to give me sex. That
makes
everything better and I go to work. You try that."
Two hours later denny calls again. "I did what you said and I
feel great. I will be to work soon......... You have a very nice house."

I'd venture a guess it was the road less traveled as it's probably too frightening for most! Perhaps if we're lucky, Hiz Honor will provide a trip report from whatever road he took! laugh

Don't know what to tell ya bout those little graemlins - they can be tricky littl guys! wink

Nooooo I sure wouldn't think any of the funny inhabitants of this board need that operation. shocked
(Well with It just was a funny joke thay popped into this strange demented "0ld" mind of mine as I sit here waiting for the Boop to return from the famous West Edmonton Mall (The largest in the world I am told). She is one of the worst (or is it best) compulsive shoppers I know, and she has all her credit cards with her. We may need to put a trailer on the back of the plane for the trip home. Opps they just returned,,, Gotta go.

Okay, since this thread is about weekend plans, someone explain this to me. I have a 14 year old spending the night and she picked the movie - we're (ok, she's) watching Dr. Doolittle 3. Shouldn't there be a rule about how many bad sequels can be made? - like NONE!

Denny we missed you! Honey, we have got to catch you up.
You can ask:
Kevin about his new red purse!
Mr. york arrived back to the notell with a tattoo!!! (AMONG OTHER THINGS)
I managed to work up a brand new belly roll for cass to get herself off on by eating mass quantities of belizean style cooking a la chef Debbie.
Jimmy proved to be a real pescadoro magnifico after landing 3 big catfish and pulling in the peddle boat a few times. I still remain pescadora magnifica.
Becky & lisa were found in a compromising position just once with mr. york! He definitely knew better when he announced that it was a good thing I did not see.
Debbie made this kick ass party, she cooked the best food this side of corozal. She had everything perfect to the "t".
Next quarter the party will be in laporte & I have voted her my assistant party coordinator.
Pam proved to be a real hero by rescuing starving kittens & getting them kitten food. Debbie then took them to an adoption shelter before they became fattened up owl fodder. ANYONE WANT A KITTEN!!!???

It was a great party - made great by everyone!!!!
I took plenty of footage of all of the compromising positions that I wasn't included in laugh
Gail, thank you for the Marie's squeezable ricardo sauce, it was really great - it went on everything. And thank you for all of the great mexican bingo prizes, too. Everyone was a winner. Everyone donated some really good prizes, we had so many we had to play spontaneous bingo.

And Pam was my hero - thank you for your support and great info through the kitten emergency. Apparently, the kittens were living under my neighbors house and were abandoned by their mom, who was a stray that had taken up residence. They came crawling through the fence when they smelled the food and heard the noise. Jimmy took them back several times, but they would come back. I gave them bread - because they were just bones and fur, poor things - Pam couldn't bear to let them starve so she and Kevin got them some food. We figured if we fed them BBQ they would smell really good and would surely be bait for owls and hawks.
And yes, I took the kittens to MY adoption shelter at MY house - I've been on the phone this morning trying to find shelters that will take them.
ANYONE WANT A KITTEN, PLEASE!!!!!

Gay I will be happy to assist your coordination at the next party!!!!

Time flys - have fun!
