Sometimes People only go by what they have read/heard/raised with and that is what they stand by. Wrong, yes, but that is the way with alot of issues not just pot. I feel that if you have not experianced something first hand one should be careful as to expressing an opionion. Just my opioion for what it is worth.
again, agreed, deacon. that is where beautiful things like racism, prejudice, and genocide come from.
example of that; true(and over-told) story:when i first came to bz in'93, a lady at the houston airport bar told us that the people in bz were violent and criminals who would cut off my finger to get my rings, and don't carry valuables, or we may get killed.
wow, were we surprised to learn the opposite was true.
hope you get my drift about unqualified views. they start wars, and worse.
Read the book REEFER MADNESS by Eric Schlosser...fascinating (hic - had to add that one to lighten things up a bit) This is the same guy that wrote FAST FOOD NATION. An excellent read no matter what side of the fence one is on.
One of my cop buddies who is all for legalizing weed said that full legalization will never happen until impairment(motor vehicle operation and such) can be measured. Decriminalize it for sure yes as is in the case in a few places. No reason to rot in jail and get butt-reamed for having a spliff.

stretching kinda tight there sweetjane, racism, predjudice,genocide/pot smoking? "unqualified views"? don't know where to go with that one. Back to the pot, been there done it, don't need it, just MHO! I have never experienced murder, war, abortion, etc deacon but I surely should be able to express a strong opinion about any and all!
