The day trip to Lamanai is a good one to do!
The boat ride down the New River from Orangewalk
is an experience in itself. Highly recommended.

I've done the Lamani trip from AC and it was well worth it but a long, long day. I would definately go again. Are the tour operators in Corozal similar to AC? Everyone is great, you just have to pick one? Any snorkle trips from there? Sounds like Corozal will be a great couple of days to relax and soak up the sunshine!

You MUST MUST stop off for an hour to swim in the Blue Hole, which is a beautiful natural 'swimming pool' some 200 feet from the side of the Hummingbird Highway, up in the hills. It is well marked and is in one of the national parks. We did it in August and the two of us had a swim totally alone - it was HEAVEN!

but I agree - inland Blue Hole is awesome and I too have always had it to myself. Verey strange me thinks.

The Blue Hole is definately on our list of things we missed last trip. Klcman, I already knew it was there!
