Where in Ontario are you, Hon. We have a seasonal cottage not too far from Bancroft but we prefer to come up when the blackflies have had their run and go away. That makes it late to get anything going but we do have tons of wildflowers that we treasure. There's a nurseryman close by who has a field of rows and rows of cultivated flowers which is a breathtaking sight (for us) to behold.

Your garden makes me pine for an earlier arrival for us!

We are in Southwestern Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron...quite a bit south of Bancroft. We are done with blackflies (not that they are ever a huge problem here anyways) around the middle of May.

It's been really dry for the last month so the mosquitos are late this year...hurrah!
