Here's why I love San Pedro.... The smell of the town... kinda like the best linen fabric softener with undertones of lime. The people - folks smile and say "Hi": locals, tourists, shopkeepers....makes no difference. The food...the selection and flavors are unbeatable! The shopping - great prices, fun and unique variety. No cars!!! A week feels like 3 weeks, you get THAT relaxed... Simply put, I've lived in big cities and small towns, I've travelled to a lot of places around the world, but this is the only place I miss the day before I leave!

"This is the only place I miss the day before I leave" is exactly how I felt when I used to be a tourist here. You said it! And even worse was getting back to Vegas and missing it for weeks after my trips.

Thanks for pointing that out today, it's a gloomy and rainy day so thanks for reminding me how I used to feel and now feel! smile

Amen!!!! Don't even mind walking to work in this today. Thanks for reminding me of more reasons why I live here.

Thanks Bobber, trip report was bang on. Another thing I noticed is the way parents there act toward their kids. From the moment I got off the plane I saw more kissing, snuggling, hugging and conversation than I ever see here at home - not that we don't love our kids the same, but our pace of life often makes us too busy to sit on the floor and tickle some toes.
