Any fish experts out there?

Its driving me nuts that I don't know what kind of eel this is. They are just over a foot long, smokey black all over with their fins outlined in white. They also have the nasal tubes. Very pretty and seem a little slimmer than the juvenile green morays. I can't find any reference to them anywhere.

Not a fish expert by any stretch of the imagination, but could it be a Conger?

I think conger eels have pectoral fins and don't have the nose tubes.

It kind of looks like a purplemouth moray but not as mottled and has a brilliant white edge on its fin, not black.

I have checked fishbase before but just checked it again and was able to skim around the scientific jargon. I think they probably are very young purplemouth morays which is why they don't look exactly like any of the photos.
Fishbase is the only place that mention it could be white outlines and not just black. Thanks Hon!

Thanks for the links. My eels don't resemble the Purplemouths at Deep Sea Images but the written description from Fishbase seems to match up. If this weather ever clears up maybe I'll go for a snorkel and see if I can get a picture of 'em.
