Mrs. reaper stayed at Kitty's Place a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I heard it was sold and then un-sold. Has anyone stayed there recently and how is it?
We're thinking of a week in Placencia after the boogie in February for some R&R, after immissing and klcman take all of my $$$ and Charlene ruins my liver!
We stayed at Soulshine a few years back but want on the beach this time, walking distance to town. Are there golf cart rentals there now?
Any other hotel recommendations?
Thanks! cool

Hey Reaper,

I've only wandered by Kitty's/Saks. When we were in Placencia we stayed in a small cabana by the water called Las Amigas. Only two units, really quiet. North end of the sidewalk, it was managed by Lydia's. Not fancy, but clean and two hammocks on the veranda.... Jean

Kitty's Place sold. The people who bought the hotel own the hotel (nothing "unsold" about it).
It is now called "Saks".
I'll bet Katy Valk can assist in planning a perfect get-a-way for the divers.

I have heard mixed reports from clients about Saks since the new owners took over. They have previously had no hotel experience. They are building LOTS of new condos on the property.

We stayed at Mariposa (sp) a few years ago, Great place very safe, Owners lived upstairs Very nice people, Loved it, would stay there again, right on the beach lots of white sand and great swimming. Owners will set you up with tours and supplies (food / drinks etc.)with very little mark-up. Even pick you up and drop off at airport.
