k...i KNOW i live among some of the best fishing in the world, and i KNOW that fresh fish can be had by simply walking out onto my dock...HOWEVER,

I like my canned tuna. and i have to say, i would do just about anything for WHITE canned tuna. Anyone know where i can find some?

Also, if anyone is coming down, PLEASE bring me WHITE tuna in water...i would be ever grateful.

Look for the gold cans, best tuna for burritos and salads. $6.95 per can though.

I just drain the tuna, combine with chopped celery, red pepper and roasted red peppers (optional), mix with a tablespoon or so of Hellman's and add curry powder, black pepper and Marie Sharpe's to taste, cool in fridge for an hour and then spread over flour tortillas, roll and eat. Another option is to add shredded Jack and nuke for a couple of seconds until the cheese melts.

Nice, sounds like something that would be great in a whole wheat pita also. Thanks bro!

when i was in SP i bought canned tuna from the island supermarket but it was SO expensive!!!

i suppose it's ok to spend more on that for a treat/snack on in a while... but for all time it would get costly!

There is another way of course, weasel your way onto one of the boats fishing offshore and catch and prep your own. The cost would probably be a lot cheaper.

um...at the risk of being a hypocrite, i dont like my food to have a face. i prefer to believe that there are magical little somethings that wave a wand and somehow some stuff that tastes like tuna, but yet never had a face, wonderfully becomes a sandwich smile

having said that, if one of the guys could remove said face and traces of life, i might like to try it! in fact, are you and kathy volunteering to help prep for me? (hint hint)

Not at all L. It's an old marketing tool, up the price on something and some people will buy it only because it is more expensive. Supposedly proving they can afford it, thus the reason for those big Macy’s (or previously Hudsons) bags they get to carry around. Unfortunately it’s usually people who can’t afford it in the first place.
And now my head hurts.

this applies to both the tuna AND the avatar smile

as for where to find me, um....well, i am almost always at fidos on friday night for some time, aside from that, let me know where You'll be and i'll find ya! if you plan on doing any of the traditional things like BC's on sunday, etc., let me know....you're probably easier since you'll most likely want to take in the events....

i'll make myself available to you as you are the one to save me from a life of cat food smile
