SAN PEDRO WEATHER DISCUSSION by Winston Panton (with
excerpts from the Tropical Prediction Center)
Partly cloudy, dry and hot weather continues over
Yucatan, the North West Caribbean and Belize.
Ambergris Caye, San Pedro and Caye Caulker will
experience for the next 24 hrs:
Partly cloudy skies today and fair tonight.
The highest temperature will be near 90 degrees F
after midday. Today’s winds will be from the East to
East southeast at 10Kts.
The sea state will be slight. Seas will be 3 to 5
feet beyond the reef.
The outlook is for partly cloudy and hot weather to
continue through Sunday.

Western & Central Caribbean:
WEAK TO MODERATE EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF AT MOST 15
KT ARE FOUND ACROSS THE CARIBBEAN DUE TO THE WEAK
RIDGE TO THE NORTH.
SOME SHOWERS WERE OCCURRING ALONG THE COASTAL AREAS OF
Central & Eastern Caribbean:
THE REMAINDER OF THE CARIBBEAN WAS NEARLY RAIN FREE.
WESTERLY AND SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW OF UP TO 50 KT WAS
FOUND IN THE UPPER LEVELS DECREASING SOUTHWARD AS THE
UPPER RIDGE WAS FOUND OVER SOUTH AMERICAN AROUND 8N.
HIGH CLOUDINESS WAS BEING ADVECTED OVER THE CARIBBEAN
IN RESPONSE TO CONTINENTAL THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY AND
THE SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW.
A TROUGH WAS FOUND IN THE NORTHEAST CARIBBEAN ... AN
EXTENSION OF THE FRONT OVER THE CENTRAL NORTH ATLANTIC
... THOUGH THIS TROUGH WAS NO LONGER PRODUCING
