TODAY’S FORECAST

A WEAK SURFACE TROUGH IN THE NORTH WEST CARIBBEAN AND
YUCATAN WILL PRODUCE ISOLATED SHOWER ACTOVITY OVER
BELIZE.

Ambergris Caye, San Pedro and Caye Caulker will
experience for the next 24 hrs:

Partly cloudy skies during today and tonight with warm
temperatures. Isolated showers will develop during
late afternoon and early morning hours. Winds will be
easterly 8 to 15 kts. The sea state will slight to
light chop.

The outlook is for continuing partly cloudy and warm
weather on Monday.


Northwest Caribbean:

A WEAK SURFACE TROUGH EXTENDS FROM EASTERN HONDURAS
NEAR 15N85W TO THE YUCATAN CHANNEL NEAR 22N86W MOVING
NW. ISOLATED MODERATE CONVECTION IS FROM 16N-22N
BETWEEN 78W-85W. RAIN IS EXPECTED FOR W CUBA LATER
TODAY... POSSIBLY SPREADING INTO THE NE TIP OF YUCATAN
THIS AFTERNOON.

SHOWERS MAY BEGIN TO RETURN TO CENTRAL AMERICA BY
MID-WEEK AS DEEP-LAYERED MOISTURE INCREASES.

Central Caribbean:

15-20 KT TRADEWINDS ARE NOTED E OF 78W ALONG WITH
ISOLATED SHOWERS FROM 13.5N-16N BETWEEN 68W-77W.

UPPER RIDGING DOMINATES THE AREA WITH A HIGH CENTER
NEAR JAMAICA. STRONG SUBSIDENCE IS PRACTICALLY
EVERYWHERE.

Eastern Caribbean:

DRIER AIR IS FILTERING INTO THE NE CARIBBEAN WITH
DEWPOINTS BELOW 70F OBSERVED AT A FEW STATIONS IN THE
LEEWARD ISLANDS. A CONTINUATION OF NLY WINDS SHOULD
OCCUR OVER THE E CARIBBEAN WITH DEWPOINTS PERHAPS INTO
THE MIDDLE 60S FILTERING IN BY EARLY WEEK AS A LARGE
LOW PRESSURE AREA FORMS OVER THE CENTRAL ATLC.

A WEAK LOW-LEVEL TROUGH IS NORTH OF PUERTO RICO ALONG
19N59W TO 21N64W AND COULD ENHANCE SHOWERS LATER TODAY
FOR THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND INTO PUERTO RICO.

DEWPOINTS IN THE LOW/MID 60S REPORTED DURING THE DAY
IN PUERTO RICO.

A CONTINUATION OF PLEASANT WEATHER IS LIKELY OVER THE
NE CARIBBEAN WITH DRY AIR ERSISTING THROUGHOUT THE
LEEWARD ISLANDS... EVEN PENETRATING THE ABC ISLANDS
PERHAPS ACCORDING TO THE GFS WITH DEWPOINTS LESS THAN

A POLAR HIGH WILL MOVE E TO 30N70W MAINTAINING
MODERATE TRADEWINDS S OF 22N AND OVER THE CARIBBEAN.

Eastern Caribbean:

CONDITIONS ARE RATHER TRANQUIL WITH DEWPOINTS
REMAINING BELOW 70F AND INTO THE LOW 60S IN THE US
VIRGIN ISLANDS. IN THE FAR NE CARIBBEAN THERE ARE ONLY
A FEW CLUSTERS OF TRADEWIND CUMULUS PRODUCING SHOWERS.


THE ONLY AREA WITH SIGNIFICANT CHANCES OF RAIN IS THE
EXTREME S WINDWARD ISLANDS WITH SHOWERS REPORTED IN
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO. THIS MOISTURE WILL SLOWLY CREEP
NW-WARD... INCREASING SHOWER CHANCES FOR THE
REST OF THE WINDWARDS BY EARLY SUN WITH EVEN A FEW
ROGUE SHOWERS EVEN UP INTO THE LEEWARDS.
