WEATHER MAN SAYS RAIN WILL CONTINUE UNTIL LATE SATURDAY

Jun 23, 2006

Belizeans all over the country have been experiencing intense rains as a
tropical wave slowly crosses the country. Meteorologists say the tropical
wave is not expected to develop any further as it crosses over land and
slowly moves away from the source of moisture. This morning we spoke with
Meteorologist Denis Gonguez.

Denis Gonguez, Meteorologist

"It is very active tropical wave that is affecting the country right now.
Sometimes we have a cave in the airflow and it comes like a wave and
causing some disturbance from the east and that is why we have some showers
and thundershowers developing. A gradual improvement is expected tomorrow
and better on Sunday. Most of this activity has been occurring in the
southern half of the country, from Belize City downwards and this is
expected to continue today and some improvements today and tomorrow."
