OK, I've read all of the info I can find and I've spent considerable time in Mexico and very little but some in Belize and I have decided that Corozal Town is right for me, but I can't seem to get a real answer in the books to this question.

Am I doing my 9 year old daughter justice by uprooting and coming to live in Belize (my wife will also come, we are a happily married intact family)?

Other than the answer of you have to come try it for thirty days (which we will do, but with the intention of staying unless it is horrible for her) feel free not to hold back on your answer. At this point, my rose colored glasses are telling me it is an injustice to deprive her of the opportunity.

If you want to try it before you buy it, 30 days is not enough, try 7 - 10 weeks. Spend the time between now and when you child gets out school for summer vacation to get you ducks in a row. Come down in early June, bring enough to set up light house-keeping, rent a small place in Corozal, if that is your choice and be a local and live like a local for 2 months, check out the schools, medical aid, shopping, etc. see if this is really what all of you want and then sit down together as a family and talk about it(the big move), talk and talk and listen to each other.

Check out "belizenorth.com", e-mail: "rick@belizenorth.com" if you have questions about Corozal, he and his family are a good place to get "good" info.

Good Luck
