Hey Guys, I`m about to get out of Dodge. Unless I sold a property or got all of them rented long Term I don`t think I could afford it yet. I`m still unsure if I could quit working. I don`t like the idea of not being able to work. I would need to still keep busy I think. Some day I will have a place in Belize. I just don`t think I could retire yet. Tincup how close to having your rental place finished? How about your house? How long has I taken you? Was it worth it? Would you do it again? Sorry I`m full of questions.

Hey Vicki, I`m not leaving today or tommorrow. I`m just thinking about what`s next. I could real easy make things happen in Moab. But that would just slow down getting a place on the ocean. I`m sick of the rat race here. I don`t know if I could move anywhere I could not work. You are probably right, I don`t know if I would want to live there and have to work as hard as Butch still does.

Tincup,in my opinion,ypou will be very lucky to get a long term renter at your prices.However you will easily get 100usd per day from visitors but you appear to have too much money as you are paying an extra 8% for your construction-who is your builder?

To skullyboy - I have been coming to Belize for 9 years. Purchased my property very soon after my first trip, so I have been in the planning stages for some time. Project completion (house including rental apartment) will take about 8 months. We have had the dock constructed (in order to facilitate delivery of building materials) and the property cleared, leaving the coconut palms by the water. I have no reason to believe that I will encounter any problems that can not be corrected by myself or my builder. Therefore, yes, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
