My little thatched house sits directly across from the Maya Centre School, and of course, as usual, they have all the doors and windows open this afternoon.

As I write, I am listening to a Creole-speaking teacher trying to get a room full of very young Mopan Maya-speaking children to sing "Frer Jacque". (It's really pretty funny! ;-)

Hmmm, silence... I think she may have finally given up...
