This is an open question to locals, expats, and tourists alike:

What are some of the things you DON'T like about Belize? This may seem like a negative thing to ask, but I've read mostly glowing reports of the country. I'd like to know if anyone has any particular issue with living there. For example, a complaint I read often is that Belize is rife with petty theft. I've also read that are plagued by mosquitoes and sand flies. Any others?

Seashell,

Yes, I've been to rich and poor countries alike. Each place has its own special quirks and qualities. Merely trying to identify some of those found in Belize. I hear such positive things about the place, just wondering if anyone has a negative one to contribute.

Too many cruise ship visitors who hardly contribute to the Belizean economy.
