I was contacted today by a nun here in Oregon that wants to ship 600 lbs of books to a school they agreed to sponsor in Belize. She was dismayed to learn thatit costs more to ship the books than they cost.

Does anyone know a way for them to get these books to the school for less than the regular freight.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

The books will be very much appreciated we know that...a few different ways..there is a trcking company out of L.A. that charge I beleive $1.00 a lb. or by volume...and they are Belizeans so I'm sure be thankful for the contribution also. Slow poke postal by weigh of slow boat... There may also be out of Oakland, CA also both areas have large communities of Belizeans that live abroad. Email me and I'll fill you in on the details. I also have a girlfriend in Corvallis area that shipped down large amounts of used clothing and she is full of invaluable info!

Hello! The nun could ship some of them to me, only so much, I am going to Belize Dec 20 and am happy to bring a suitcase full. Let me know if you'd like me to do so and where they are to go to.
