American Fugitive Captured on San Pedro

He might have looked like he was living in paradise, but really he was on the run. And, a U.S. citizen residing in San Pedro was returned to his home country on Monday on the force of a U.S. warrant. William 'Billy' Doerr who had been living in San Pedro was escorted into Belize City by Belizean police and from here was flown out to the United States in the company of U.S. Marshals.

Doerr is wanted in the state of Texas on two warrants: one for misapplication of a trust fund and misapplication of fiduciary property. Doerr was allegedly part of a construction business that received money for a project but never delivered on it

Why does that name sound familiar? Was he active in anything on the island?
