P-U-P HAS NEW STANDARD BEARERS

The People’s United Party held several Standard Bearer Conventions over the weekend. In the Port Loyola area Oscar Rosado defeated former P U P Belize City Councilor Jenny Craig. The new P U P Standard Bearer for the Cayo South Constituency is Charles Galvez who defeated the incumbent Standard Bearer Joaquin Cawich. In Orange Walk, John Briceno has been endorsed for Orange Walk Central, Jose Abelardo Mai for Orange Walk South and Doctor Marco Tulio Mendez for the Orange Walk East Constituency.

I heard that a convention will be taking place in Belize Rural South which includes Caye Caulker and San Pedro. Wendy has confirmed through the newspapers that she will be contesting the convention and it seems that Mel Spain and Alex Nunez from San Pedro are also interested.
