July 05, 2006
Marlon Arnold a.k.a. “Popcorn” accused of maim was acquitted of maim and wounding before Justice Adolph Lucas in the Supreme Court yesterday. The victim Amado Watson under oath told the court on April 1, 2005 he was about to board a boat to Belize City from San Pedro. Watson said Arnold told him to get off the boat. The two men got in a fight which resulted in Arnold biting off the tip of one of Watson’s finger. The doctor said Watson suffered permanent loss only on the tips of his missing finger pad but no bone was severed. The accused was undefended while the case for the crown was presented by Cheryl Lynn Branker Taitt.
