otter: when i was in that situation 3 yrs ago, i just went alone. there were baord members etc to keep me company, even met me at the sp airport, no problem. if dude needs THAT much convincing, you will have just as good a time "alone". sin, deacon, lara & co will take care of you!

I've never travelled overseas alone, but there's a first time for everything I'll hold out for now so we'll be able to book travel together if he comes around.

i hadn't either, and i was a 5 ft 100 lb middle aged waif. but ex & i were about to split, and i had to get away. everyone was so nice, and ANYONE you ask will go to dinner or drinking w/you. so glad i went.

Cool Otter! What airline you flying? I'm on CO. I'll leave out of SA on the morning of the 9th and I'll be in BZE at 11:30. By the time I hit tropic air and land in SP, I'll be on a beach somewhere drinking rum or belikins. Taking late flight out (5:30) on 13th.
